What is Cadence?

Cadence is a service that helps families to navigate the logistical challenges they face after losing a loved one. Simple, user-friendly technology paired with compassionate customer support allows Cadence to walk families through every step of the estate settlement process. What is the story behind why Cadence exists?

Through personal experience with loss, the Cadence team learned how difficult it can be to manage logistics at the same time as grief. In the months that follow a death, families spend on average 500 hours closing the affairs of their loved ones. This includes everything from claiming benefits, notifying agencies, closing accounts, administering the estate and keeping strict records. This administrative work can leave families feeling overwhelmed and overburdened, during a time when they are least able to cope. This is why we set out to simplify the estate settlement process and provide compassionate support along the way.

How does your software help families?  

Cadence gives families the information and tools they need to stay organized and tackle estate settlement tasks. Our sophisticated automation technology speeds up the paperwork, giving families back time to focus on what matters most. What are some of the features of your software?  

After completing a simple questionnaire, Cadence clients are provided with step-by-step instructions for everything they need to take care of after a loss, tailored to their specific location and situation. Using our tell-us-once approach, the estate documentation is filled in and securely sent to where it needs to go. Our clients are given unlimited access to client care specialists who can answer questions, make referrals and help with hard-to-do tasks.

Do you have complementary resources to support families?  

Cadence provides free informational and grief resources on our website. We also have client care specialists who provide free general information. The client care specialists can be reached through the chat function on the website or by phone at 1-800-500-9625.

What is your mission/long-term goal at Cadence?

Our mission is to support as many families as possible in navigating the estate settlement process. We know how hard it is and are dedicated to simplifying the process. While we cannot take away the pain of losing a loved one, we can reduce the administrative burden, giving back time to grieve.
