Her beloved grandchildren Amelia, Blake and Brayden Selzer, sister Linda (Garnet) Schulz and brother Garth (Donna) Freeman.

Gayle was born on November 4, 1951 and grew up on her family's farm near Goodwater, SK. Ever having a rebellious streak, Gayle moved to Regina when she was 17 years old and it was there that she met the love of her life, Bruce (Charlene) Welsh, whom she married in 1974.

Gayle and Bruce welcomed three daughters who she stated, were her whole world, her best
friends and, later in her life, her angels.

Gayle was blessed with unwavering optimism, and she always met challenges in life with bravery and the ability to see the positive in everything. After being diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer in early 2021, Gayle refused to accept any prognosis and instead chose to face her disease with a determined hopefulness that inspired everyone she met during her battle with cancer . Gayle was declared cancer free on November 29, 2021 and remained that way for the rest of her life.

In her final years, Gayle lived in the Williston in Harbour Landing where she found an immense community of friends whom she loved dearly. She became very active and was known affectionately as "The Walking lady", walking up to 10 kilometers every day throughout the Williston.

Gayle did not wish to have a funeral service, and a private scattering of her ashes will take place at a later date.

For those wishing to honour Gayle in some way, please remember that
each day is a blessing, to choose happiness every day and to go for a walk.
