Gerald ( Jerry ) Victor Settle, 86
It is with great sadness the family of Gerald (Jerry ) Settle, announce his passing on February, 4th 2023 at Parkstone Enhanced Care, Halifax, surrounded by his family. We would like to thank the lovely staff at Parkstone for there amazing care and support.
Born in Halifax to Gerald Roy and Marie Joan (Murphy) Settle. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Beverly A. (Keating) Settle and his only son Michael (Paula) Settle and grandchildren Emma, Dallas and Cheyenne.
Jerry started his own business, Settle's Auto Repair, in Harrietsfield in 1968. He reluctantly retired in 2005 at which time he handed the business over to his son who still operates the busy and successful shop today.
He lived is West Pennant with his wife and enjoyed hunting and fishing on Ragged Lake with all his buddies. Jerry also enjoyed playing golf and camping in his VW Vanagon's.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at the Harrietsfield Williamswood Community Center at 1138 Old Sambro Rd on March 5th from 2-4pm.
